FOUNDER & WRITER

Hi, I’m Rameen Farrukh, a medical doctor and public health professional from Pakistan, with an MPH from King’s College London and a diploma in Health Economics and Policy from London School of Economics.

My interest in public health grew from seeing healthcare both at the point of delivery and, later, through the lens of policy and health systems. Since then, my work and studies have taken me across health policy, financing, immunisation, mental health and health systems but I’ve remained particularly interested in what all of this means for Pakistan.

I started Health Mosaic as a space to explore those questions beyond reports and academic papers. Here, I break down Pakistan’s health programmes, policies and challenges through evidence, stories and a systems perspective: looking not only at what is working, but where the gaps remain and why.

At its heart, Health Mosaic is about making public health easier to understand, talk about and care about, and simultaneously creating a space for conversations about how we can build a healthier, more equitable Pakistan.
